    Description

This is a rare gas mask in an unopened package.  It is a CD V-805 (which is also known as a U.S. type M22) CBR Civilian mask.  The packages are sealed , so the photos attached are what I could find out on the web as I was researching.  The mask should be in mint condition since it hasn't been opened.  The outer package does have some stains but no holes into the package itself.  Great addition to your collection!
The date stamped on the package is December 1962.
I found this information on the web about it:
The M22 gas mask was used by the United State Government as a civilian issue and police issue gas mask. Originally created as the E52R27 in the early 1950s it was developed into the M22 to improve on the mask's design. This mask was used by its civil users until the late 1970s, when it was replaced with newer masks. This mask helped to bring into being the creation of the XM28 gas mask. (information provided by Jack Kirchner) It features two triangular eye pieces on both sides of the head, a single cheek filter on the front of the mask and a exhale valve underneath the mask.
